"When the evacuation began, our family had half a day's notice that we were to leave on the morning on April 27, 1942."~Toyo Suyemoto, Assistance Head of the Education/ Psychology Library at Ohio State University
An executive order is a order the president gives out that contains the force of the law within it. Executive Order 9066 was a signed order from Former President Franklin Roosevelt on February 19th, 1942, ordered that all people of Japanese ancestry to be incarcerated. Even though there was no proof that the Japanese Americans would spy on the Americans, they were still sent to the concentration camps anyways. Perhaps there would be much hatred towards the country where they moved to live. But patriotism still existed in the Japanese Americans as much as any other American.
